ADDTEC was founded with a focus on in-silico modelling and early-stage drug discovery. We collaborated with research teams and peptide synthesis companies to develop molecular models and simulation tools. This foundation in scientific data laid the groundwork for our future in analytics and insight delivery.
Advancing Diagnostics and Global Reach
During this period, we expanded into genetic diagnostics and advanced molecular analytics to support clinical labs and research organisations. We also began collaborating with international partners, extending our expertise and services beyond Australia.

ADDTEC transitioned from providing technical support to delivering tailored insights, reporting solutions, and strategic dashboards for clients in biotech, healthcare, and professional services. We officially launched our AI and data strategy consulting services, supporting clients with machine learning, automation, and business analytics solutions. In 2024, we introduced Power BI services to help teams visualise KPIs and trends in real time, improving clarity and confidence in decision-making. Director of Scientific Projects & Data Strategy
Dr. Sahar Mahdavi is a data-driven project leader with a PhD in Computational Biophysics from the University of Sydney and over a decade of experience in scientific research, health analytics, and cross-disciplinary innovation. At ADDTEC, she plays a pivotal role in managing and delivering projects at the intersection of biotechnology, AI, and data analysis. Sahar has led numerous collaborations with universities and research institutions, specialising in biomarker discovery, diagnostic data interpretation, and strategy development. Her expertise bridges research and practical implementation — empowering teams to apply data science for meaningful, measurable outcomes in healthcare and beyond.
Ali Farhoodi
Director
Ali Farhoodi is a seasoned project strategist and business leader with over 25 years of experience helping organisations successfully deliver complex projects, programs, and portfolios. Ali combines deep expertise in project controls, Power BI analytics, and team resourcing to support clients in achieving their goals on time and within budget. His approach combines structured project management frameworks with data-driven insights to enhance performance and promote more informed decision-making. Passionate about building strong client relationships, he continues to guide ADDTEC’s evolution as a trusted consultancy for science, strategy, and innovation.
John Szmajda
Operations Director
John Szmajda oversees ADDTEC’s operations and project delivery across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. With extensive experience in managing large-scale technical projects, he specialises in operational strategy, feasibility studies, and process development across scientific and industrial environments. John has led multi-disciplinary teams in areas such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech product development, and commercial plant operations. At ADDTEC, he plays a key role in bridging complex operational requirements with practical, data-informed solutions.
